1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the TransLeti service (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
TransLeti provides an automatic translation service for WordPress websites through a connector plugin. The Service uses LibreTranslate, an open-source machine translation engine, to translate website content including posts, pages, menus, slugs, and string translations.
3. Account and API Key
To use the hosted TransLeti service, you need a valid API key obtained through a subscription at transleti.com. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key. Each API key is tied to a single domain.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Service to translate content that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service.
- Share your API key with third parties or use it on unauthorized domains.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
5. Data Processing
When you use TransLeti, the following data is sent to our servers:
- Text content: The text from your posts, pages, and strings that need translation.
- API key and domain: For authentication and authorization purposes.
- Site URL: For cron service registration (when enabled).
We do not store your translated content on our servers beyond the time necessary to process the translation request. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
6. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
7. Subscription and Billing
The hosted TransLeti service requires a monthly subscription. Subscriptions are managed through WooCommerce and can be cancelled at any time. Upon cancellation, your API key will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
8. Intellectual Property
The TransLeti Connector plugin is released under the GPLv2 or later license. You retain all rights to your original content and its translations.
9. Limitation of Liability
TransLeti is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of machine-translated content, including but not limited to inaccuracies in translations. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all translations before publishing them on your website.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
